1)考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用…let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introduce myself to you等句子，重複、囉嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here.然後就可以進入主題，介紹姓名、年齡等等。
2) 自我介紹的主體內容
①姓名。介紹自己姓名時，發音一定要準(南方考生要多加註意)。
②年齡。年齡可以跟在姓名後帶過(I am , 25 years old)。
③原來的院校、專業。注意：一定要把原來學校的英文名稱、專業的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業的學生)。所屬的公司、職位。注意：在職考生則應將自己公司、自己職位/職稱的英文名稱弄明白。
④性格、能力。可以着重強調你的個性對你報考的專業有何積極的作用。如果報考的是學術性的專業，可以說自己細心(carefully，detail-oriented)、條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)等;如果是研究性、應用性更強一點的專業，可以說自己負責(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。
