One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,"you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more."

It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.

The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,"I did not have enough time."The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no complaint! It is during my moments of complaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.

Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."

Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself "Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count."

Hold Fast To Your Dreams

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

Beggars are one of the most familiar groups in every city. They accompany us from our childhood until now, and I've found both the beggars and I change in this journey.

Years ago as a little girl, when I came across some old and disabled beggars on the road, I'd donate some pocket money to them, happily thinking I was helping.

s I have grown older, I've found the number of beggars has grown larger and they are more diverse. They appear in every corner of the city, on the overbridge, on the street, near restaurants, and even at your door. In contrast with the old days, it seems like the situation with beggars today is more complicated, which has made me hesitate before deciding whether to help them or not.

It's hard for me to give them money considering some who appear beggars in day time but dress up and go to fancy restaurants at night; and some who are controlled by some illegal organization and the money they get all goes to the organization. If I help them, I'd be making the problem worse, I'd be doing harm to the society, indirectly. But it's also hard not to give them money, considering there're real beggars who really need help. If I don't help them, who will? And where is my sympathy?

What hurts me the most is not how hard it is to distinguish the real help-seekers from the many false ones, but that some children are forced by adults, sometimes even their parents, to beg. They grow up despised by the world, out of mainstream society. When I see their eyes filled with desperation and impudence instead of purity and innocence, my heart sinks. We don't know how they will face the world when they grow up, how this will shape their characters, and what they may do to the society, to perpetuate this cycle of violence.

Months ago the Fu Jian government has promulgated a new policy to deal with 8 kinds of beggars. An internet survey shows that over 80% of voters reacted positively toward the policy. We know that one single policy cannot solve a problem as complex as this one, but we do look forward to some improvement. I wish all humanity can live like human.

The first day of school our professor introduced a little old lady tous.

"Why are you in college at such a young age?" I asked later. She jokinglyreplied, " I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, have a couple ofchildren, and then retire and travel."

"No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivatedher to betaking on this challenge at her age. "I always dreamed of having a collegeeducation and now I'm getting one!" she told me.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we wouldleave class together and tolk nonstop. I was always listening to this "timemachine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to make a speech to our footballteam. I'll never forget what she taught us. As she began to deliverher preparedspeech, she dropped her note card on the floor. A little embarrassed she simplysaid, "I'm sorry. This whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back inorder so let me just tell you what I know." As we laughed she cleared her throatand began:" We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because westop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, andachieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got tohave a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walkingaround who are dead and don't even know it! There is a huge difference betweengrowing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed forone full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years ody can grow older. That doesn't take any talentor ability. The idea is togrow up by always finding the opportunity in change. Have no regrets. Theelderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we didnot do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets."

At the year's end Rose finished the college degree. One week aftergraduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college studentsattended her funeral to honorthe wonderful woman who taught by example that it'snever too late to be all you can possibly be.

Christmas Day-December 25-which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian religion, is the biggest and best-loved holiday in the Christian World.

According to the Bible, the holy book of Christians, God decided to allow his only son, Jesus Christ, to be born to a human mother and live on earth so that people could understand God better and learn to love God and each other more. "Christmas"- meaning "celebration of Christ "- honors the time when Jesus was born to a young Jewish woman Mary.

Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph, a carpenter, but before they came together, she was found to be with child. Because Joseph, her husband, was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Although the exact date of the birth of Jesus nearly 2,000 years ago is not known, the calendar on the supposed date divides all time into B.C. (Before Christ )and A.D. ( a Latin phrase, Anno Domini, "in the year of our Lord.") For the first 300 years, Jesus' birthday was celebrated on different dates. Finally, in the year 354, church leaders chose December 25 as his birthday.

A survey about smokers in a middle school tells that although 90% of all students never smoke, 3% of them often smoke and 7% sometimes do. In other words, 10% of the students smoke. That’s terrible.

As we know, smoking is harmful to our health. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives because of it. Smoking not only does harm to your health, but also wastes money. Because, a fire may be caused by cigarette ends. It’s a pity to learn that one ends in death by smoking.

In all, smoking is so dangerous that we should keep away from it.

Nothing Succeeds Without a strong Will “Where there is a will, there isway” is an old proverb which almost everyone knows, but not all understand it sowell.

Actually, it means that if you are really resolved to do something, nomatter how difficult it might be, never give up. In fact, strong will is a kindof good quality which successful people should own. A great man is always onewho has a firm resolution and an inflexible spirit.

One will never succeed all his life without a firm will to get the finalvictory. As a rule, great tasks are accomplished by men of strong will. Forexample, Dr. Sun Yatsen, the founder of the Republic of China, set the Chinesepeople free from the Manchurian rule through a long period of hard struggle.

Many of his attempts failed and many of his followers were killed, but hehad an inflexible spirit and stuck to his cause. Finally, he made the revolutionof 1911 a success. The same is true of men in all walks of life. It is quiteobvious that there is nothing difficult in the world, if you make up your mindto do it, you will certainly accomplish your end. That stands to reason.

So as for students like us, we should have a good attitude towards ng with difficulties and failures, keep heads up and never give up. Besides,we should make full preparation, though strong will help us overcome thedifficulties, it is not for person who has no preparation.

one day, god said to a priest: ‘come, and i want to take you to see the hell.” they entered a room where so many people were sitting around a cooking pot. they looked at it but no one wants to say or do anything. they felt not only hungry but also disappointed yone has a spoon. but the handle of the spoon were too long for the food to be sent into their mouths.

“come, now i want to take you to the heaven. ”god took the priest to the heaven and entered another room. this room was the same as the first one. there were so many people sitting around a cooking pot, and the handles of their spoon were as long as those of the first group of people. there was nothing different but the atmosphere. people here drank and ate, speaking and laughing. the priest felt puzzled and asked god. god answered with a smile. ”can’t you see? people in the second room here learnt to feed each other “ the priest suddenly saw the light.

this story tells us that we should learn to share and give, and develop the good habit of loving and helping one another. the niggards who we saw in the hell would rather make themselves hungry than share with others.

as a british poet said:” taken away love, our earth would be a grave. sharing is an idea state, a wisdom and distillation. sharing love, happiness and sadness is all that we need. there are so many people who don’t want to share with others ever they do they will think about themselves first. these people can never understand the real meaning of sharing. people are always imagining that they can live a good life in the heaven use of imagination, we always feel we are far away from the heaven fact, the heaven is not far away from us .

Our character, basically, is a composite of our habits. “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny,” the maxim goes.

Habits are powerful factors in our lives. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character and produce our effectiveness or ineffectiveness.

As Horace Mann, the great educator, once said, “Habits are like a cable. We weave a strand of it everyday and soon it cannot be broken.” I personally do not agree with the last part of his expression. I know habits can be learned and unlearned. But I also know it isn't a quick fix. It involves a process and a tremendous commitment.

Those of us who watched the lunar voyage of Apollo 11 were transfixed as we saw the first men walk on the moon and return to earth. But to get there, those astronauts literally had to break out of the tremendous gravity pull of the earth. More energy was spent in the first few minutes of lift-off, in the first few miles of travel, than was used over the next several days to travel half a million miles.

Habits, too, have tremendous gravity pull- more than most people realize or would admit. Breaking deeply imbedded habitual tendencies such as procrastination, impatience, criticalness, or selfishness that violate basic principles of human effectiveness involves more than a little willpower and a few minor changes in our lives. “Lift off” takes a tremendous effort, but once we break out of the gravity pull, our freedom takes on a whole new dimension.

Like any natural force, gravity pull can work with us or against us. The gravity pull of some of our habits may currently be keeping us from going where we want to go. But it is also gravity pull that keeps our world together, that keeps the planets in their orbits and our universe in order. It is a powerful force, and if we use it effectively, we can use the gravity pull of habit to create the cohesiveness and order necessary to establish effectiveness in our lives.

now none of this is to say that social skills are unimportant, and i'm also not calling for the abolishing of teamwork at all. the same religions who send their sages off to lonely mountain tops also teach us love and trust. and the problems that we are facing today in fields like science and in economics are so vast and so complex that we are going to need armies of people coming together to solve them working together. but i am saying that the more freedom that we give introverts to be themselves, the more likely that they are to come up with their own unique solutions to these problems.

so now i'd like to share with you what's in my suitcase today. guess what? books. i have a suitcase full of books. here's margaret atwood, “cat's eye.“ here's a novel by milan kundera. and here's “the guide for the perplexed“ by maimonides. but these are not exactly my books. i brought these books with me because they were written by my grandfather's favorite authors.

my grandfather was a rabbi and he was a widower who lived alone in a small apartment in brooklyn that was my favorite place in the world when i was growing up, partly because it was filled with his very gentle, very courtly presence and partly because it was filled with books. i mean literally every table, every chair in this apartment had yielded its original function to now serve as a surface for swaying stacks of books. just like the rest of my family, my grandfather's favorite thing to do in the whole world was to read.

but he also loved his congregation, and you could feel this love in the sermons that he gave every week for the 62 years that he was a rabbi. he would takes the fruits of each week's reading and he would weave these intricate tapestries of ancient and humanist thought. and people would come from all over to hear him speak.

Dear leaders and teachers:

Good morning!

"Youth" in the history of the history of the Han Dynasty, the original intention of the spring, that is, the beginning of a year. Now, a symbol of youth blooming vitality and vigor, infinite passion and dream and unremitting struggle and enterprising, at the same time, the youth also means sentimental, immature and ignorant, we only set a correct world outlook, outlook on life and value view, can in the long life journey grasp the right direction. Life rushed for decades, perishable years, gradually old youth, Mo lightly, white young head, empty mournful "adage moment in the haunted, time waits for no man, exactly young students, since when run, enthusiasm betting to his career, selfless offer sacrifice" magic "for the youth to depict the most gorgeous color mosaic, let youth in the dedication of burning out the most dazzling fireworks.

Doctors and teachers, two holy and glorious career, childhood I Huaichuai favor the two ideal difficult trade-offs, and now I want to thank fate, let me from medical school after graduation to become a teacher can have their cake and eat it. When I first station in three feet of speaking in front of, facing both knowledge of eyes and sacred mission feeling arises spontaneously, I clearly know "the teacher, proselytizes instructs dispels doubt" the profound meaning, Han Yu will preach on the first, is to tell us as a good teacher, first of all, we should pay attention to the cultivation of student's personality, cultivate first then teach and not sc ripted the written knowledge cramming plug to the students is accomplished by. Especially as a teaching of medical courses teachers, I always put "health system, life entrusted" the oath of a medical student engraved in the heart, this simple eight word, as a medical worker, the expression of incisively and vividly, and my duty is to cultivate medical ethics, medicine, has the sense of responsibility of the three talent.

Youth is charming, many people in the youth brilliance wrote a brilliant life, Song Dynasty 21 of Xin Qiji "cavalry, gas swallow 10000 such as the momentum of the tiger" dispell resistant Staphylococcus; Premier Zhou at the age of 19 wrote the magnificent "river song strike turned East" to express the youth dedicated to the cause of liberation of the motherland determination; Comrade Lei Feng joined the army at 19 years old, Gan for revolution of the screw nail, selfless dedication, wholeheartedly serve the people, only 22 years old gave young life. They stand tide hero, is never falling stars, is a model of my heart. If the distance of their era said some of our distant, if they are in a specific historical period of "brave" to reflect the new age young people's thoughts and spiritual, then under the new situation of the age of heroes, Navy Dalian Naval Academy Department of Political Science Professor Fang Yonggang comrades, his deeds enough to touched each and every one of us. Fang Yonggang has long been engaged in political theory teaching and research work, for more than 20 years, he always put study the innovation theory of the Communist Party as their sacred mission, firm, selfless, passion for working, even terminally ill also shed down shoulder the responsibilities, his demeanor and character shows the noble realm of the power of a communist political beliefs and outstanding teachers.

Example in the former emulate, and I will in a high sense of responsibility and mission, imparting knowledge and educating people, the paragon of virtue, assiduous climb, innovation and enterprising, make its greatest contribution to the reform and development of medical education.

Dedication is a kind of not to return to give, dedication is a noble sentiment, but also a common spirit; not only contains the lofty realm, but also contains a different level. Dedication is both in the country and the people in need of critical moment to come forward, die for the sake of righteousness, fusion and penetration in their daily work and life. Some people said: "the image of teachers is a candle, for students to give all of the light and heat; teacher's personality is burning, for students who would like to go to the destruction of their own; teacher's behavior is a model, for student candidly reveal pure and upright; teacher's joy is the dedication, for students to do a filled with blood boil. Long road dedication to the distance, roses dedicated to love; white clouds dedicated to grassland, rivers and dedication to the ocean; and my youth and enthusiasm, to give my students, dedication to the education of my love.
