上了三年級，間周的星期四就是習作課。那是我第一次寫真正的文章，心裏總擔心寫不好，會被老師批評，會被同學們笑話。我按照老師的指導，先想清楚經歷過的課餘生活。老師強調要突出“精彩”這個詞。我越想越難，我不知道怎麼來表現出“精彩”。正在特別煩悶的時候，我想起了老師說過：“有趣的情節，激烈的場面，讓人感動的畫面，與衆不同的地方都叫精彩。”於是，我下定決心，就寫上次講故事比賽。
在文章裏。先寫我到了比賽場地，一看到那熱鬧的場面，心裏就緊張起來。寫這部分我特別突出了當時的心理活動。接着我寫了比賽過程，特別寫了我在臺上的表現。開始手腳發抖，腦子裏的詞兒一點兒也不聽話，藏起來，找也找不出來，真是急人呀。我不經意一瞥，老師在臺下的微笑鼓舞了我，媽媽在臺下豎起了大拇指，讓我有了自信，說也奇怪，那些跟我捉迷藏的詞語，句子主動出現了，我講起故事就特別投入，一陣陣掌聲此起彼落，我戰勝自己，講完了故事，還得了二等獎呢。在習作裏，我還寫了課餘活動給我帶來的樂趣。
我把第一次習作交上去，老師表揚我運用了好多平時積累的詞語，有很多精彩的表達，說我是小作家。我聽到自己成了小作家，覺得離自己大作家的夢想，近了許多。心裏別提多高興了。
“不經一番徹骨寒，怎得梅花撲鼻香”，學習讓我明白了只有勤學苦練，纔會成功。只要是比賽，我都想參加，爲實現我的夢想鍛鍊自我。
我有夢，中國也有夢。中國正在一天天富強，中國人正在一天天富裕。若中國是一片海洋，我就是一滴水，只有千千萬萬的水滴匯聚，才能成爲汪洋大海。我要放飛夢想，千千萬萬個人要放飛夢想，中國夢才能實現飛越。

“What can you do, then?” the old man said nothing. He put a gourd bottle on the ground and covered its mouth with a copper coin. He then scooped out a ladle of oil from his big jar, held it high and began to fill the bottle.
Now, a thread of oil came down from the ladle into the bottle just through the hole of the coin. Everybody looking on watched with amazement. But the old man said, “This is nothing special, I can do this because I have practiced it a lot.” And with these words, he left.
Later, people use this phrase to mean “Practice makes perfect”.
