在過去一年中我們始終秉承“體育使我們站立起來，科技使我們強大起來，文化使我們厚實起來，道德使我們高遠起來”的核心理念，並圍繞以下三個方面開展工作：
一、增強團員意識夯實組織建設，做到“建設一個網絡陣地，完善兩類工作制度，搭建三個工作平台，做好四種教育實踐”
建設一個網絡陣地：我們在全校範圍內首創了團委學生會工作團體博客，目前的累計訪問量達到了3萬6千餘次，有文章360餘篇，圖片專輯60餘個，視頻專輯17部。團委博客給了提升了團委的工作效率，改進了工作方法，是學院團委信息化建設上的一個里程碑。
完善兩類制度：即規範了常規制度，創新了激勵制度。完善了財務管理制度，檔案管理制度等。同時，為了激發創意，挖掘潛能，我們制訂了例如“每月三星”、“大嘴巴”獎、“分享計劃”等激勵機制。
搭建三個平台：“團委組織建設平台”為基礎，“支部全面成長平台”為核心，“幹部培養平台”為關鍵。做好黨建帶團建工作和團員推優工作，在黨支部分獲07年廣西區優秀學生支部和廣西區先進基層黨組織等多項榮譽的情況下，學院05級團總支和_班團支部分別作為學校唯一的推薦集體參加了區優秀團總支和團支部的評選。院團委重視團支部的指導工作和優秀團員、優秀團支部的評優工作，分別組織06、07級各支部開展了創建“五四”紅旗團支部評優答辯活動。同時還加強對學院科協、記者團等8個院級社團的指導和幫扶工作。
