下面是寫慰問信需要注意的幾點：

寫給受傷的人的慰問信要儘量簡短、中肯。信中不必查問事故是怎麼發生的，是誰的過錯，或有無見證人；而應表達你聽到友人受傷後的難過心情，以及希望他不久就能痊癒等等。換言之，你關心的不是事故的前前後後，而應該是受傷者的身體和恢復情況。
