道歉信寫作，知道這些足夠了！
【題目要求】
假設你是新華中學的學生李華，你和在上海上學的英國朋友Tom約好下週末去北京旅遊，但你因故不能赴約。請根據以下要點用英語給他寫一封電子郵件：
1. 表示歉意；
2. 解釋原因；
3. 另約時間。
注意：1. 詞數120~150；
2. 可適當增加細節。

英語考場作文一般說來最長時間25分鐘，而且有字數要求120-150。仔細審題凸顯重要。題幹內的開放性——解釋原因“因故”而未給出“故”的確切內容，要求考生自己思考合理的緣由，那麼在跨文化背景的前提下，一個什麼樣的理由纔是來自英國的Tom可以接受的呢？
據參加當年大學聯考閱卷的老師說，大部分考生寫的原因是：爺爺奶奶生病、父母臨時有要事需要他們或者是臨時調課等諸如此類。拿大學聯考來說，基本閱卷老師皆中國老師，可以理解這樣的解釋，只要語言錯誤不是太多，考生拿到及格線以上沒有問題。
但是，從道歉信的寫作角度來講，因爲Cultural differences之故，如上原因，感覺只是在李華爲自己的違約找了個藉口，而失真誠感，對於在英國長大的Tom,恐難接受。既然道歉，作者就應該換位思考，所編的理由，符合英語語言文化的背景。既然Tom身在中國，對於李華要去機場接從國外回來的李明，而且是陪同李明的父母前往，帶着濃濃的親情、友情，這樣的描述會使得Tom讀來就自然而然地認爲你的失約是無可厚非的，可以理解的。
以上是分析20xx山東卷英語作文的內容選材時，給學生做的分析。此類內容學生一看題，第一直覺就是站在李華的角度來思考，其實犯了道歉信的大忌。

I’m very sorry that I can’t go on a trip to Beijing with you next weekend, which I have promised you. I’m writing to tell you the reason for it.
Just now, my cousin, Li Ming, who went abroad for further education last year, informed me that he would return the next Saturday morning. He asked me to pick him up at the airport with his parents. As you know, we haven’t seen each other for about a year, so I’ll have to help him in the first place.
