記得一次，我剛吃完飯就在公園裏散步，一切多麼美好呀!看!小鳥在枝頭上唱着動聽的歌曲;小狗在小巷裏奔跑，追趕着蝴蝶;蜜蜂也不甘落後，依然默默無聞地辛勤勞動着;微風撫摸着大地，芬芳的花兒，悠悠的雲朵，蔚藍的天空，又迎來一片春天!“採菊東籬下，悠悠見南山。”我邊走邊讚美着。突然，一陣惡臭打破了我的夢境，像病毒一樣鑽進我的鼻孔，讓我窒息，路人也紛紛捂住口鼻，不由地加快步伐。我皺了皺眉頭，叉了叉腰，眼睛蹬得像燈籠似的：“究竟是哪裏發出的氣味呢?”我走近一看!只見垃圾堆積如山，烏煙瘴氣，塑料罐、一次性筷子、飯盒、舊手提包、剩飯剩菜……
它們在享受“太陽浴”的同時，也散發出垃圾的異味，令人防不勝防。這時，一個四十多歲的中年婦女引起了我的注意，只見她身穿一件破舊不堪的上衣，黑色的長褲。戴着被灰塵燻黑的口罩，顯然是一名不辭辛勞清潔工。於是，我好奇地躲在一旁，悄悄的看着，觀察着……她不假思索的把雙手伸進惡臭的垃圾裏，熟練地把垃圾分好類，放在一旁，接着，她從草叢中取出一把生鏽的鐵鏟，用它揪出腥黑的泥土，雖然泥土濺到了她的身上，玷污了她的衣裳，但她什麼也不管，只是默默無聞的工作，在她心裏，也許是一種責任，也許是一種信念，也許是一種勁頭，也許是一份希望……站在一旁的我情不自禁地說：“阿姨，爲什麼你要做這樣骯髒的工作呢?看你也不是一個十分貧窮的人呀!”那個中年婦女一邊撿起塑料罐頭一邊回答：“現在的人變得浪費了，用完的東西就隨手一扔。如果我做這點小事能讓人們醒悟過來，齊心協力保護環境，這點兒髒活兒跟本不算什麼——我只想在我有生之年爲環保作一份貢獻罷了。”我靜靜地站在那兒，細細地咀嚼着中年婦女的話，似乎明白了什麼……
