對!樹木與人類生存息息相關，世界上已有50多個國家和地區規定了植樹節、造林日、綠化周的。我國也是開展植樹節較早的國家之一。
那同學們，你們知道我們爲什麼要植樹造林嗎?正像一個健康的人，人體的各個器官、各種機能之間都是保持平衡的，一旦某個環節失去了平衡，人就會生病。自然界也一樣，自然界中的人類、生物和氣候、土壤、水等環境條件之間存在着錯綜複雜的相互關係，這種關係本來是保持着平衡的，一旦失去了生態平衡，便會產生種.種不良後果。植樹節演講稿範文節選!
而森林是保持生態平衡的衛士。有了森林，地面就不怕風吹雨衝，水土就不易流失。大風遇到了防護林帶，會被大大減弱;雨水沿着樹幹慢慢流到地上，被枯枝落葉、草根樹皮所堵截，能滲透到地下而不會迅速流走。在少雨的季節裏，這些儲藏在地下的水，一部分匯成溪流，流出森林，滋養農田，一部分經過樹根的吸收、樹葉的蒸騰，回到空中，又變成雨。森林讓氣候變得穩定正常。
同時，森林又是製造新鮮空氣的工廠，森林是綠色的水庫，森林是人類生命的搖籃。遙遠的古代，我們的祖先以葉爲衣，以果爲食，壘木爲巢，剖木爲舟……
使得人類繁衍生息。可是今天，由於人類的無知與貪婪，利斧揮向了一片片森林，揮向了山坡、河邊的一棵棵樹木，綠色的大地被剝掉了外衣。於是，狂風捲着飛沙侵蝕了良田沃土，暴雨卷着泥沙淤塞了千條江河;天氣變得旱澇無常;人和動物失去了越來越多的生存空間……
1950年以來，僅僅50多年，全球有一半以上的森林消失了，平均每年要減少1~2千公頃。在原來幾乎全是森林的非洲腹地，現在已與月亮表面的荒漠毫無差異。
那麼，假如有一天，世界上再也沒有森林了，那將會是怎樣的情景呢?如果世界上真的沒有了森林，陸地上90的動植物會因沒有森林蓄水，而面臨乾旱的威脅;450萬種生物將死絕。
生物釋放的氧氣將減少60，地球將會急劇升溫，許多地區的風速將會加快60~70，億萬人將死於風災。
人類失去了森林，既沒柴燒，又沒建材、藥材，經濟生活將遇到難以克服的困難;許多地區將發生水災，大批農田、城市被淹，空氣污染、噪音污染，加之太陽輻射增強，人類將無法生存。
救救森林，救救綠色，救救大自然。自1979年第5屆全國人民代表大會第6次會議，決定3月12日爲中國的“植樹節”以來的20多年中，我國人民響應號召，全民義務植樹累計超過350億株。至20__年底，中國的森林覆蓋率已達16.55%，城市建城區人均公共綠地提高到6.52平方米，全國自然保護區總面積超過1億公頃。
而實踐表明，當國家森林覆蓋率佔全國總面積的30以上，而且分佈均勻時，纔不會發生較大的風沙旱澇等自然災害。而我國的森林覆蓋率僅有16.55，這怎麼能不讓我們深感焦慮呢!
如果在我們的周圍，在高大的樓房之間，擁有一片又一片的綠地，種下一棵又一棵能成蔭的綠樹，你就會彷彿走進了綠洲，不再覺得枯燥和單調，心情開朗，生趣盎然。研究證明，在城鎮的住宅小區，多栽種一些植物，會給人類帶來莫大的益處。爲此，大隊部向全體隊員發出倡議，開展“我和小樹交朋友”活動。
我們的口號是：人人有護綠的區域，個個有認養的樹木。
我們的要求是：一個學生動員一個大人種一棵樹，栽一盆花，用我們的零花錢買樹種，種小樹，養小樹，使“綠在身邊，花在眼前”，爭當花草小衛士，爭當家鄉小主人。同時，我們還要學習護綠知識，向周圍的人宣傳綠化家鄉、美化家園的重要性，每個少先隊員在校園裏，在街道上，在家中認養或看護一片綠地或一棵小樹，爲它們鬆土、澆水，保護環境;我們還要抵制使用一次性木筷，使用再生紙，我們要用實際行動做綠色小天使。

another common notion is that there are opportunities everywhere. opportunity may occur to anybody at any time and under any circumstances as long as he/she keeps ma-ki-ng constant efforts. as a student, you can get to the top through your hard work. as a businessman, you can succeed through accurate calculation and with a complete certainty that you can make a profit.
in my opinion, opportunity favors only those who keep trying and who are ready for it. as the saying goes "god helps those who help themselves", so no matter whether there's opportunity or not, what we should do is to study, to learn and become learned people, only in this way can you seize your opportunity when it occurs. so never say there's no opportunity again, opportunities are around us.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.
A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.
